Cépages : Cabernet Franc – Merlot – Syrah – Grenache
Terroir : Oyster marl and Ventenac lacustrine limestone make up the terroir of the estate.
On the crests of the pechs (Pech Dur and Pech des Joies) the Ventenac limestones lie in concordance on grey marls which locally contain small levels of sandstone limestones with oyster beds.
Winemaking : Mechanical harvesting, de-stemming. Traditional vinification in concrete vats with long maceration for optimum extraction.
Élevage : A short maturing period in barrel.
Tasting note
garnet robe
The nose offers up aromas of jammy fruit and plum, followed by incense and cedar.
Full-bodied and opulent on the palate, with candied fruit aromas and a fine tannic structure.
This wine is the perfect accompaniment to cassoulet, red meats, cheeses and chocolate-based desserts.
